Recently in our workshop at Pullies and Gears, something unusual happened. As the sun rose over the racks of Spur Gears, Bevel Gears, Spiral Bevel Gears, pulleys and universal joints, we noticed something strange.
Each shelf had a small metal tag.
Each tag carried a clue.
Clues pointing toward landscapes across South Africa.
And that is how The Great Gear Hunt was born.
For the next 26 days leading up to Easter, we invite you to follow the clues, test your engineering instincts and stand a chance to win daily, weekly and monthly prizes.

Pulleys – The Circle Keepers
Pulleys see the world in cycles and balance.
Their clues point to perfect circles carved by nature.
Rock pools of the Cederberg.

HOW THE GREAT GEAR HUNT WORKS
For 26 days, we will release two to three clues every day across our social media platforms. Each clue is connected to one of our engineering components and a famous South African landscape.
Step 1
Purchase goods from Pullies and Gears worth R5 000 or more.
Step 2
Follow our social media pages.
Step 3
Watch for the daily clues.
Step 4
Submit your answer for the clue of the day.
If you solve the clue, you could win the daily prize.
If nobody solves it, the prize rolls over and becomes bigger.
